PUBLIC RESTROOM BUILDING

Client: Historic Mount Vernon
Size: 2600 sq.ft.
Completed: 2004

The project requirements for this new structure housing visitor rest facilities included accessibility and close proximity to the historic core of the Mount Vernon estate and gardens. The site planning takes advantage of an existing screen of magnolia trees and orients the structure to keep it as unobtrusive as possible. Carefeul attention to brick selection and the use of cement roof tile connects this new building with other support structures on the estate.
