EXHIBITION: THE MISSISSIPPI STORY Client: The Mississippi Museum of Art, Jackson MS Size: 9000 s.f. Opening: 2007 The scope of this exhibition includes over three hundred works that focus on Mississippi's rich artistic heritage. The design creates twelve permanent gallery rooms that organize the exhibit into sections presenting images of Mississippi's landscapes, people, daily life. Special attention was given to color selections and the design of walls to accommodate the broad ranges of styles and scales represented in the collection. Also included in the design are special, "closer look" spaces that allow the visitor the opportunity to explore themes and artists in more depth. back |
